Book Giveaway: Holy Available

This week I'm giving away an almost-new copy of Holy Available, by Gary Thomas. I bought this book because I was intrigued by the subtitle: "What if holiness is about more than what we don't do?" I was so intrigued, in fact, that I accidentally ordered this book twice. So I'm giving one copy away.

Leave me a comment, and on Friday I'll draw one of the commenter's names and mail this book to them! In your comment, please share the title of a book that made a difference in your life.

I'm extending the giveaway! I'll announce a winner on Sunday!

  1. Aside from the obvious book, The Holy Bible, I would have to say YOUR STRONGEST LIFE, by Marcus Buckingham. He has a lot to say on combating negativity and discovering your talents.

  2. My very very very favorite book of all time is "Because He Loves Me" by Elise Fitzpatrick. It helps me remember how God's love intersects with my daily grind. :)

  3. I love Gary Thomas! And I would say that it's a toss up on the book that has most profoundly affected me between "Sacred Marriage" by Gary Thomas and "Into the Depths of God" by Calvin Miller. I have not however read this book by Thomas and would love to have it to mark up like I have all the rest of his books. (Just finished "Sacred Influence" - uh. maze. ing.)

  4. I love the book, "The Power Of A Praying Wife" and also "The Power Of A Praying Woman", by Stormie Omartian. Realizing the power of prayer in a deeper way.....and becoming closer to God....it really refreshes my soul.

  5. Please don't put my name in the drawing Ruth--but, I did want to tell about a good book--The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. It tells--in graphic detail--all that Christ's body went through during the crucifixion. It's one thing to know that he died for us...and something entirely different to know how. I've never cried so much as I did while reading this book. It gave me a new perspective on Jesus' sacrifice. It's a tough read...but, it's worth it.
