Creator of stars and sunrise,
You are my light
my guide through the coming year.
Thank You that
as in Eden
on my darkest day
Your promise of salvation
gleams brightly.
Thank You for the Scriptures
showing me that You
choose and illuminate
bumbling doubting humans.
