Music for a December Sunrise

I put together an eclectic mix of Christmas music, from U2 to Dolly Parton. I wanted a blend of songs I discovered this year ("Awake, Arise Good Christians" by Kate Rusby) with songs that remind me of my childhood (101 Strings' "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear") and songs that speak to me of Christmas hope ("I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" by Casting Crowns).

  1. Good list. A few of those are new to me and I will have to see if I can find them on You Tube so I can hear the whole song. :-)

  2. I highly recommend Kate Rusby. She's our favorite this year. A British folk singer. She sang the theme song to one of our favorite Britcoms.

  3. I will look her up first. What is you favorite Britcom? Perhaps the library will have it and I can check it out. :-)

  4. Kate Rusby sang the theme song for Clatterford. I'm not sure the library has it--we bought it because we recognized several of the actresses and knew it would be enjoyable (Dawn French, Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders.)

My very very favorite Britcom is As Time Goes By, with Judi Dench. The library has that. I don't know who sang their theme song.
